Pair of York stone towers from Selby Chapel that was demolished in 1985. The chapel was built in c. 1870. Each tower is comprised of approx. 100 cut stone blocks and weigh c.six tons. The towers would ideally be erected on top of a brick or stone base at least 3m high for maximum effect. More photos of the towers being taken down are available.
